New Friction Folder

I love friction folders. They can range from simple to very fancy. This one has a high carbon steel blade. Not sure of the content, but it is some agriculture implement steel. It hardened up nice. It was normalized three times and quenched once in veggie oil. The white tail deer antler is pretty unique.

I went with a twist in the tang on this one. The pin is mild steel with copper washers on the outside. It has brass washers inside.

I was going to offer this one up for sale, but I'm not sure now. I kinda like it.

God Bless Yall!

Hi Wildcat, I like the look of this clasp knife, looks very similar to some early to mid 18thc. ones I have seen.
Thanks for adding my site to your links, much appreciated. Regards, Keith.

Hi Wildcat,
If you change your mind about selling the folder, let me know. I'd be interested. I'm local, so we can meet easy enough.
