I cleaned this blade up with a wire wheel, sand, dirt, etc. Found the suitable deer leg bone and put it all together. It's really pretty simple. I made up some small copper washers out of some sheet that I have for just this sorta thing. I find the washers are needed because you are guaranteed a split bone without them when peening pins. After completion, I soaked in BLO.
I can't make out the stamp on the blade. If anyone knows what it is, let me know.
If you have an old set of sheers, give this a try. It is a quick project and fun too. Plus your saving the planet and keeping trash out of land fills with creative recycling. (where is that rolling eyes emoticon)

They seem to spring up overnight as if someone had sprinkled hair fertiliser on my chin during my sleep. Now that I come to think of it, perhaps that's why it's called “fur”tiliser.
