Converting a Marlin 30AW - 336 to a Marlin Marauder style

this is a 30aw that was givin to me by my father in law when he passed.  it was his uncles rifle before that.  there is really no "sentimental" value except it's been in the family for a while.  my father in law had no interest in guns, only had it cuz his uncle passed it to him before he died.  his uncle might have used it one time to go hunting with some customers.  he wasn't a gun person either. 

so since i cant sell/trade it i decided to turn it into something i like and one day i can pass it on to one of my kids.
